The last of the three flights of the €300,000 GTD Night of the Aces has concluded, with a total of 247 players taking part.
Sacha Girimonte dominated the day, bagging 507,500 chips at the end of Day 1B, over 200,000 chips ahead of the second-place finisher in his flight. RinoRaise also stood out with his bag containing 386,500 chips. Among the 247 entries, there were also familiar faces like Vincenzo Scarpitti, Marco Skuletic, Alessandro Toninello, and Ettore Cuzzone, who will all return for Day 2A on Sunday, September 14th. Players such as Raffaele Castro, Marco Graziano, Luca Cristantielli, Yuri Lombardo, and Renato Santillo, who failed to make it through the 13 levels of play on Day 1, were sure to return in the next, and final, three flights of the Night of the Aces.
At the start of Day 2A at 4:00 PM, 75 players will meet to endure nine 40-minute levels of play, starting with blinds of 1,000/2,500. Those who manage to reach the Day 2A packs will already be ITM with a minimum payout of €1,500 and will return on Sunday, September 21st at 2:00 PM for the Final Day, which will determine the winner of this Night of Aces, a €300,000 guaranteed prize.
Those who don’t make it to the Final Day can try again to qualify on Wednesday, September 17th for Day 1D, or Thursday, September 18th for Day 1E, while the last flight, and therefore last chance, will be on Friday, September 19th at 6:00 PM.
