The surprises never end at the Admiral Poker Room in Mendrisio! In fact, by popular demand, the “Special Price” variant of La Notte di Mendrisio 5,000 euro guaranteed becomes customary at tournaments offered by the gambling house. There are many new features affecting the 1st floor area starting in July. The Monday and Thursday double dates of the months of May and June are being discontinued and there will be a switch to a single weekly date on Thursdays, as usual at 8 p.m. and with the buy-in following the Special Price rules of the past month, namely: those who sign up by the start of the tournament at 8 p.m. will benefit from a SPECIAL PRICE, i.e., a buy-in of only €25. From the first to the fifth level of play the buy-in rises to 50€ and then increases to 100€ in the last late registration levels after the first break, i.e. from the sixth to the tenth level.
Any queues or waiting lists that do not allow the player to register by 8 p.m., i.e., at the start, do not affect the buy-in change, so those who are in the queue after the start of the tournament will be able to register by paying a €50 buy-in. It is strongly recommended to register when the cashier opens at 6 p.m. in order to avoid possible queues and/or waiting lists. The stack of those who benefit from the €25 and €50 special price is put into play at the very moment of registration at the cashier.
The structure, levels and starting stack do not differ from the usual tournaments offered by the Poker Room, so at the start all registered players sit down with 40’000 chips and play 20-minute levels, starting from the dark 100/100 ante 100. At the end of the tenth level of play registration is closed, which from the 6th level has increased to 100€.
The top two finishers at the final table are awarded as many €550 tickets each for the September 2025 Night of Aces. The La Notte di Mendrisio 5,000 euro guaranteed Special Price tournament runs every summer Thursday in July and August, up to and including Thursday, September 4. After that, the highly anticipated €300,000 guaranteed Night of Aces will be staged in the Admiral Poker Room.
