“It should be noted that the barracuda is a predatory fish, dangerous even to humans, especially divers, as it attacks anything that moves.” This was the famous phrase linked to the historic tournament, which after 10 years is returning to its birthplace, the lake where it all began. Only The Barracudas is coming to the Admiral Casino in Mendrisio with a new look but with the same goal as always: to be a tournament accessible to all players, whether amateurs, regulars, or professionals.

From January 14 to 25, 2026, the Admiral Poker Room will host an incredible tournament, with eight qualifying flights and a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000. The Main Event’s unique feature is its buy-in, which is only €90+10 for the first four flights, rising to €230+20 in the second week. The tournament starts on January 14 at 7 p.m. with Day 1A, followed by Day 1B, Day 1C, and Day 1D on January 15, 16, and 17, respectively. All qualifiers from the first week, who played with a buy-in of just €100, will meet again on January 18 for Day 2A. Similarly, the second week of the tournament follows the same format as the first, with four flights on January 20, 21, 22, and 23, namely Day 1E, Day 1F, Day 1G, and Day 1H, all starting at 7 p.m. with a buy-in of €250. Those who make it through will meet again on Day 2B on January 24 at 4 p.m. All those who qualify for the Final Day, at the end of the 12 levels of Day 2, will receive a minimum payout of €500.

The starting stack is 50,000 chips and the levels range from 25 minutes on Day 1 to 40 minutes on Day 2 and the Final Day. Late registration is open until the 12th level of Day 1, with a total of 18 levels to be played before reaching the bags.

Please note that anyone in possession of a ticket won in the “Only Mendrisio” tournaments can only use it for Day 1E on January 20 or Day 1F on January 21.
