At the start of Day 2A of Only The Barracudas, 82 players showed up and after 6 hours of play, 28 players made it to the bags, led by chip leader Alessandro Toninello, already at the top of the chip count at the start of the tournament, who returns to the Final Day with 4,070,000 chips.
At the Day 2A tables, we saw players of the caliber of Enrico Buzzanca, Francesco Mussi, Luca Cristantielli, and Claudio Swissy Rinaldi, who, however, failed to make it to the money and therefore to the prizes. They will try again next week during one of the last four qualifying flights. Shortly after returning from the dinner break, Pedrag Budakovic, who was third in the chip count at the start of Day 2A, was eliminated.
Among the players who stood out on Day 2A, we must mention Fabio Sfregola, chip leader during the early hours of play with around 2 million when the blinds were 4k/8k, and Alessandro Toninello, who took the chip lead on Day 2A, maintaining a stack of over 3 million chips until the end.
On Final Day, we will see Marco Leigheb (830,000), Graziano Enei (1,575,000), Claudio Apa (885,000), and 25 other players who are already in the money, with a minimum payout of €500.
All those who did not make it to the end of Day 2A can re-register for Day 1E, Day 1F, Day 1G, and Day 1H, scheduled for January 20, 21, 22, and 23, respectively, by paying a buy-in of €250. Those who qualify from the last four flights will meet on Saturday, January 24, at 4 p.m. for Day 2B. As was the case for Day 2A, Day 2B will also consist of nine 40-minute levels, and those who manage to bag up will meet on Sunday, January 25, at 2 p.m. with the players who qualified for the Final Day by playing Day 2A.
