The 140 Day1A entries were a veritable torrent that poured into the tournament area of the Admiral Poker Room at the Casino di Mendrisio. Among them were some well-known faces such as Claudio “Swissy” Rinaldi, Luca Cristantielli, Cesare Raso, Matteo Sbrana, Alessandro “ilpizzopazzo” Piersigilli and Antonio Bernaudo, who came close to chipleading with over 300,000 chips. Great performances also by Pasquale Vinci and Giorgio Leuchi, runner up in the last SCOP. Even three women in the top positions of the count, the best Dalila Meroni. In the end, 51 qualified after 13 levels of play and we are around 40% of the initial field, testifying to the great depth of the structure. The €200,000 guaranteed tournament started at 6pm and had 10 levels of late registration. Those eliminated can “try again” starting today, Friday 20 January, with Day1B. The 51 qualifiers, on the other hand, will meet again on Sunday 22 January for Day2A and all those who go through to the Final Day will already be automatically “in the money”. It should be borne in mind that this first flight of La Notte degli Assi 200,000 guaranteed included the players who had won the ticket in the satellites organised inside the Admiral Poker Room and those who had won the pass in the previous edition of La Notte degli Assi at the Imperium in Milan. Starting from Day1B, however, the tickets will no longer be valid.
