32 players have already booked a seat on the Final Day on Sunday, January 28 in this Night of Aces. The best of them turns out to be Morgan Crosta with 969,000 chips. Also of note are the appearances of Alessandro Toninello, Leonardo Bartolone, Goudong Yang and Alessio Astone.
A respectable field of players showed up for Day2A of La Notte degli Assi 250’000€ GTD and battled for 6 hours of play. The first to leave the Admiral Poker Room were those who showed up shorter and were hoping for a double up like Andrea Valenti and Pierluigi Barutta. Among the notables present at Day2A, it is worth mentioning some of the most historic Italian players who had not trod the international poker scene for several years such as Kristian El Dosoky, Antonio Valenti and Luca Pagano, a flag of tricolor poker who has recently reacquainted himself with this world by participating in the proposed tournaments of the Poker Room in Mendrisio.
Vittorio Londoni, winner of the last Night of the Aces, and reg Luca Cristantielli and Claudio Swissy Rinaldi, who are “at home” in Mendrisio, failed to make it to the end of the 9 40-minute levels of play of Day2A but will surely try again next week by taking their seats in one of the last three flight scheduled for January 24, 25 and 26.
A total of 248 players livened up the tables at the Admiral Poker Room in the first week of the Main Event. Of the 89 players who showed up for Day2A, 32 made it to the Final Day, securing a €1,500 mini-money.
The second week of poker action includes a 20-ticket guaranteed Super-Sat on Tuesday, Jan. 23, against a €100 buy-in, and the final three qualifying flights with Day1D, Day1E and Day1F on Jan. 24, 25 and 26. Those who are awarded tickets to the maxi-satellite will have the choice of participating in Day1D or Day1E. Qualifiers from the last three flights will meet again on Saturday, January 27 at 4 p.m. for Day2B. As happened for Day2A, nine 40-minute levels will also be played at Day2B, and those who manage to bag will meet again on Sunday 28 at 2 p.m. with the 32 players who qualified to the Final Day by playing Day2A.
