Vittorio Londoni triumphed in the biggest tournament ever organised by a Swiss Casino. For him, the bracelet of La Notte degli Assi 200,000 guaranteed and the first prize of a prize pool that reached €306,000 thanks to the 612 entries. The Final Day had started with 61 players left all “in the money” on this final day of play. The first “eliminated” players consoled themselves with a €1,000 mini-money and among them were Matteo Sbrana, Gianfranco Ironico, Guido Presti and Mario Perati. Then it was on to the ‘2,000’ euro prizes where Luca Cristantielli and ‘Il pizzopazzo’ Piersigilli placed 41st and 43rd respectively. After the dinner break with ‘3,000’ euro prizes, elimination fell to Predrag Budakovic, Ana Maria David and Giulio Astarita, among others. After the dinner break, 19 people showed up and the action began to stagnate, thanks also to the very playable structure typical of La Notte degli Assi. Many of the Day1 ‘chipleaders’, such as Giuseppe Vozzo, Matsumoto Miuratsu and Onorato Savastano, exited at this stage. With the elimination of Zurich’s Nuri Korosh, the 9-player Final Table was formed. At this point the players opted for an ICM deal which resulted in first place for Vittorio Londoni who took home €28,800. Second place went to Guido Pezzotta with 26,800 and third to Cosimo Solazzo who took home 24,500. Among the top players was Emanuele Pavoni, eighth place with 14,750.
