A total of 492 players took part in the first four qualifying flights of the Notte degli Assi Road to the Million €50,000 GTD, and of those, 87 made it to the Final Day. During the 18 levels of play on each Day 1, there was no shortage of twists and eliminations just a few hands from the money, such as that of Zhang Wenyuan, who, in the final level of Day 1B, went all-in with a pair of 7s against Luca Cristantielli, who held A-J offsuit. Cristantielli hit an ace on the river, securing a massive pot that propelled him into the lead of both his flight and the overall chip count heading into Final Day.
The Flip and Go format offered during Day 1, which featured a Million Pack as the prize, entertained all the players in attendance and gave Paolo Calderone, Daniele Marocchi, Ljupko Brnic, and Umberto Ghislandi the chance to play in a major tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of 1 million euros. The four players have in fact won a package including two nights at the King’s Resort in Rozvadov and the buy-in for the Main Event of La Notte degli Assi €1,000,000 GTD, scheduled for June 1–7.
We would also like to remind you that the Final Day bubble man and the tournament winner will each receive a Million Pack worth €660 for La Notte degli Assi €1,000,000 GTD.
Today at 2:00 p.m., all players who qualified from Days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D will return to the tables for the Final Day, starting with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and 25-minute levels.
