Matsumoto leads 85 left

The Day1C of the Night of the Aces 200,000 guaranteed speaks Japanese: it was in fact Katsushiro Matsumoto who imposed himself on the 53 entries in the third and final flight of this first week of the Poker tournament with the highest guaranteed prize money ever organised in Switzerland. The first three Day1s registered a total of 244 entries. The Japanese player put together 455,500 in chips, far surpassing the best of Day1A and Day1B, Gianluca Michelini and Giuseppe Vozzo respectively. In the third flight, 19 players qualified for Day2A at 4pm today, adding to the previous 66 left. There will therefore be 85 players at the start of today’s Day2A, which will resume from blinds 1,000/2,500 in a regressive structure. The levels will increase from the 30 minutes of Day1 to 45 and nine will be played until Day3. All those qualified for the Final Day on Sunday 29 will already be in the money and the smallest prize will be €1,000. Those who were eliminated in Day1 A, B and C or those who will not make it past Day2A today will be able to re-register for next week’s Day1 and also for the Super Satellites on Monday 23rd and Tuesday. Among the qualifiers in the third flight are some big names such as Leonardo Bartolone, winner of SCOPLO, Daniele Ferro, Michele Zullo, Francesco Mussi and Raffaele Castro, winner of the last Night of Aces.

Here is the Redraw of the 85 players qualified for Day2A. Start at 4pm today, Sunday 22 January.
